I already left a 5-star review but I have to edit it because I’m so disappointed by how I was treated by this office. Both myself and another member of my family were seen at this office in June. We both specifically called to make our appointment and get a quote for what our insurance would cover because some other offices in the area were telling us that our services were only covered at 80%, which we really appreciated knowing up front. I was told from multiple people in this office that we were covered at 100% with the insurance we had, also on our checking out of our appointment we were told AGAIN that preventative services were fully covered with our insurance. We had a great experience until we received our bills for $190 total. This office gives new patients a “free gift”, and honestly I don’t want my gift now because I see they really are charging me $190 for this gift. I called the billing team and they were super unhelpful, basically told me that they wouldn’t have told me it was fully covered or if they did “they shouldn’t have”. Extremely frustrating, I’ve never paid so much for a cleaning in my life. They also told the other person in my family that they “had to” have panoramic x-rays for their file and proceeded to charge us $130 for those x-rays. Why would we pay for that…? I don’t want those x-rays but they said THEY wanted to have them, but failed to mention that we would be charged a significant amount for them. I’m super frustrated with this practice and how they handle business. I’ve already cancelled my future appointment and will not be returning.

Staff is welcoming, professional and very helpful. The dentist and his assistant are exceptional and provide ongoing information on what is happening.

Great people, from the lip balm to the headphones and iPod. Little comforts along the way to help with the experience! Really happy to have found them, can’t wait to never look for another dentist in the metro! Brandi is amazing, I appreciate her every time.

Update: was repeatedly recommended crown$ for teeth that were painful, only to have the root canal redone or pulled. Now Dr. Gawlik is retired with all the money it costs to have them done, since dental insurance is a coupon not actual coverage. Now I’ll get all these expensive crowns removed and FINALLY heal from the ongoing infection eroding my body this past year off of these recommendations, even after crying in pain office visit after office visit. Deplorable. Enjoy retirement Dr!!!

The staff at Lifesmiles are like good friends – including the new dentist/owner. It’s a pleasure to go there , and I trust the work done on my teeth.
